There are a lot of restaurants like Nakato in Springfield, but Nakato itself holds the champion's title among most locals and visitors. It has won numerous awards and many recognitions from 417 magazine. It's your typical combination dinner of chicken, steak, and shrimp with many other choices as well. You also get Miso soup, a salad, noodles, and rice. A typical bill for 2 people is in the $45 range, and I feel like the experience and portions are just about worth it. The chefs are always top-notch, and full of humor. As with most places like this, you sit in a group around the table and cooking station the chef uses. It creates a pretty friendly atmoshpere, but isn't for those who prefer privacy. This is a must-eat for anyone in Springfield for sure.
Nakato is a japanese restaurant on a big scale. Infinite amount of seating, sushi bar in the middle. Food and service are good. The regular croud is families and older people. The place is a bit too big to my liking and lacks ambience. Nevertheless, solid 8/10 overall.
